Mom Checks Nanny Cam At Night And Realizes Her Baby Is Not Alone
One night in February 2022, Kelly De Alba received a notification from her baby cam, assuming it was a regular movement by her daughter, Kallie. However, when she checked the app, she was greeted by an adorable surprise in Kallie’s crib – their family’s beloved black cat, Luna. Luna had comfortably settled in, rubbing against Kallie as if they were the best of friends.
As De Alba shared the heartwarming footage on TikTok, Luna and Kallie’s endearing bond captivated viewers worldwide.
Despite the enchanting sight, De Alba couldn’t allow Luna and Kallie to spend the night together. Luna understood the boundaries and knew she should not be in the crib unless the family was present.
Ever since De Alba brought Luna home from the shelter, Luna and Kallie had become inseparable best friends. The moment Luna caught Kallie’s scent, she recognized their connection and knew they were destined to be together.
“At the shelter, she instantly gravitated towards Kallie’s car seat,” De Alba shared. “I couldn’t leave without this cat. This was the one.”
Luna shares a deep bond not only with Kallie but also with her older siblings. She happily sleeps with them at night, occasionally sneaking into Kallie’s crib, and allows them to shower her with affection without resistance.
However, Luna always finds her way back to baby Kallie. “From the beginning, she has been Kallie’s cat,” De Alba emphasized. “Their bond is truly special.”
Wherever Kallie goes, Luna is not far behind. Luna may not be overly vocal, but she emits soft meows whenever Kallie’s name is mentioned. Likewise, Kallie lights up with a broad smile whenever Luna is brought up in conversation.
Over the past eight months, Kallie has transitioned from a baby to a toddler, and her relationship with Luna has only grown stronger.
“Kallie and Luna are still inseparable,” De Alba shared. “They spend most of their day together, whether it’s exploring and creating messes, enjoying snacks, or napping. Luna adores the fact that Kallie is now old enough to shower her with love.”
De Alba described their tender moments, with Kallie gently caressing Luna’s head for extended periods, creating a blissful haven for both of them. Although Luna tries to join Kallie in her crib, she usually ends up sleeping with the older siblings at night, while sharing precious nap times with Kallie.
